Visit Heather Idoni

Heather is currently in the Sanilac county Jail in Sandusky, MI. She is unable to receive in-person visits, but there are regular prayer meetings outside the jail. Visit the website https://freeheatheridoni.com for more information.

For emails and video visitation you can set up an accout through the link below.  It cost fifty cents per message and one dollar per photo plus a Three dollar fee when you purchase credits.  Through the system you can also set up video visits.

Visit Cal Zastrow

Cal is able to have in-person visits at FCI Thomson, IL, but there is a more strict visitation procedure to go through.

Cal is located in the FCI Prison, not the SCP camp that is located at the same facility. For details see this document: https://www.bop.gov/locations/institutions/tom/tom_visit.pdf?v=1.0.4

Cal is allowed a limited number of visitors on his approved visitor list. In order to become on the approved visitor list you will need to send this form to the prison: https://www.bop.gov/policy/forms/BP_A0629.pdf

In the “Addressee” box, put the following:
CCC-VENARD
P.O. Box 1001
Thomson, IL 61286

Institution: FCI Thomson
Registration number: 26324-510

On the day of your visit, call the prison ahead at 815-259-1000 to make sure they are not on lockdown. After entering through the front door, you must be able to pass through the metal detector, which is quite sensitive. (Avoid metal/wire in clothing.) You should only bring change for the vending machines, your driver’s license/photo ID, and car keys. No cell phone or camera. There are lockers at the front desk where you can put your car keys etc. and then they will give you a locker key to carry inside. You can arrive as early as 8:30am, but no later than 2:15pm. If the visiting room is not crowded (typical for weekdays), you may be able to visit from the time you arrive until 3pm when visiting hours are over. On a busy day (weekend/holiday?) visits could be limited to 20 minutes. So, the earlier you can arrive the better, and weekdays are best for a visit. It takes around 45 min-1 hr to process through until the prisoner meets you in the visiting common area. If you are visiting over a mealtime, it is nice to be able to share a meal from the vending machines. (You can bring quarters or dollar coins, water/drinks were $2.75 for a bottle, sandwiches/burritos were around $4-5 each.)

You will also be asked to fill out a visitor form upon arrival, which is https://www.bop.gov/policy/forms/BP_A0224.pdf . You may be able to bring a pre-filled copy. Institution: FCI Thomson | Location: Thomson, IL | Name of Inmate to be visited: Calvin Zastrow | Registration number: 26324-510 . You will also need to know your vehicle’s make/model/color/year and license plate number.

If you’re looking for a hotel in the area, this Best Western Sure Stay is located about a mile from FCI Thomson.

Financial Support

Prisoners have a commissary account with the prison where their friends and relatives can deposit funds for their use within the prison. Inmates typically have a limited amount of funds they can spend per month and also may have limited opportunities to spend these funds. If you are interested in financially supporting prisoners or their families, please use the Contact Us form on this website and we will put you in touch with the appropriate person who is coordinating support for each prisoner.
